The Wenlock and Ludlow succession in the Howgill Fells (north-west Yorkshire and Westmoreland)

Eleven zones, based upon sixty graptolite species and subspecies, are defined in the Wenlock and Ludlow series of the Howgill Fells. Good stream sections enable accurate zonal thicknesses to be given in several cases, and correlation with other regions is attempted. Two new graptolites are described.
